1.- New Zealand
Waitomo, a village in the center of New Zealand, has an extensive
cave system covering more than 60 miles of underground passages,
waterways and caverns. Paparoa National Park offers a underground
rafting adventure as excited as Waitomo. Not to mention that on
the southern islands you will find many companies specializing in
rafting tours for all levels. Departing from the city of Queenstown
for example, known for its adrenaline seekers population you will
be able to discover the untouched beauties of New Zeeland

2.- Zambia/Zimbabwe
The Zambezi River is one of the main attrations to experience rafting.
It is an 80-mile river stretching from Victoria Falls to Lake Kariba.
You will encounter ten of the world's biggest rapids including the
famous Number 5.
3.Austria:
Many Austrian rivers offer you some of the best rafting worldwide
with an amazing scenic touch to the trip. From easy to more advanced
all enthusiastic rafters will find what they are looking for in
Austria. Tirol, one of the most beautifull and protected areas in
the Alps will blow your mind away when it comes to nature and peacefull
experiences
4.France:
Verdon area, a land of delicate scents and sunny landscapes; a world
of magic where water and rocks blend according to the mysterious
alchemy of nature.
5.- Arizona
The Grand Canyon is America's hottest river experience. There are
161 named rapids in this area going through spectacular views. The
river has at least 225 miles going downriver. Lava Falls, Crystal
or Horn Creek are amoung the best destinations in Arizona.
6.- West Virginia
The Upper Yough and Gauley Rivers will be the place for those of
you looking fotr the challenge of class IV and class V rapids. These
rivers have steep drops and narrow passageswhich required you to
be an expert in the field.
7.- Idaho
The Selway and Bitterrot Wilderness Area, are Idaho's paradise for
this sport. If you are looking for white water and wilderness, this
is the place to go. You will descend over 50 miles through steep
canyons and alongside riverbanks. Along the way, you will see bears,
moose but very few humans.
8.- California
The American River is the most famous rafting river in California.
This river is dicided into three sections; South, Middle and North
Folk. The South Folk is for beginners with more than 50 Class II
& III rapids. The Middle Fork is tougher with Class iii &
IV rapids. And for the ultimate rafting experience, The North Folk,
being for experts only, has continuous Class V rapids.
9.- Costa Rica
There are four major rivers in Costa Rica offering world class rapids;
Reventazon, Chirripo, Rio General and Pacuare. Reventazon is the
most challenging rafting river in Costa Rica dropping more than
100 feet per mile in the first three miles. The Chirripo has 50
miles of rapids and waterfalls. The Rio General will be the best
choice if you are looking for a family vacation since few of the
rapids exceed Class III. Pacuare is the second best choice for a
challenge experience since the rapids are Class IV and Class V.
10.- Chile
The Futaleufu River in Chile is one of the most challenging rafting
river canyons in the world. It has almost 40 major Class IV and
Class V drops some as long as a mile. Unfortunately, The Chilean
Electric Company Endessa, wants to tap the river's flow for a major
hydroelectric project.
