Here are some of the snowmobiling destinations

California
Groomed and ungroomed logging roads and trails. Deep powder, often
steep rain.Suitable for all riders. Top destinations are Tahoe Vista
and Toiyabe National Forest. Atractions 8,400 feet-high mountains
with great views of Lake Tahoe, Squaw Valley, and Alpine Meadows.
Two-hour tours on groomed and powder
Yellowstone/Teton
Country (ID) 500 miles of groomed trails through flatlands, forest
and mountains. Deep powder in high country. Average snow fall per
year is 20 feet. There are two top mountains, Centennial Range and
Island Park. Excellent ski resorts nearby.
Millinocket (Maine)
300 miles of groomed trails to nearby Baxter and Lilly Bay State
Parks or to Canada. Mountain trails are not crowded.Good snow all
winter.The top destinations are Mount Kineo, Baxter State Park areas
and Double Top Mountain.
Valdez (Alaska):
This one I did personally. I cannot tell you how many miles of trails,
and perfect descriptions of the area but what I can say is that
Alaska has a million suprises awaiting you. From ice caves, to breathtaking
mountain ranges, and excellent snow conditions, wildlife and much
more
Alsaka is a must for the adventure traveller.
Keweenaw Peninsula (Michigan)
Average snowfall per year is 21 feet. More than 250 miles of groomed
and marked trails. Mostly rolling hills and backwoods. Top destinations
are Brockway Mountain, Agate Beaches, Calumet and Firesteel River
Gorge.
North Country (New Hampshire)
500 miles of groomed trails, mostly logging roads, connect to other
trails in Canada, Maine and Vermont. Frozen lakes and rivers are
passable. Terrain is mountainous. Top destinations are Stub Hill,
Magalloway Mountain and Mount Pisgah.
Wisconsin Dells (Wisconsin)
Wisconsin Dells is the center of afive-country recreation area.
More than 800 miles of marked, mapped and professionally groomed
trails.Frozen lakes, meadows and hills. Trails are mostly wooded.
Vermont:
To maintain the 3,600 miles of wide, main "corridor" trails
and 1,400 miles of secondary trails, vast and its 157 snowmobile
clubs employ a veritable army of big grooming machines. There are
109 groomers assigned to the trail system during the winter season,
working day and night to smooth out the bumps and give riders clear
sailing. In good snow years, VAST groomer operators will put in
80,000 miles!
